A referral-first advisory practice built on trust.

Pollack Services Group is an independent insurance practice led by Lynn Pollack. The firm she has built today serves individuals and businesses across the country, grounded in the founding standard her father-in-law Gerald set in 1976, and shaped over more than two decades into the modern practice it is now.

Foundations 1976

The firm Gerald started.

Pollack Services Group was founded in 1976 by Gerald Pollack, an attorney trained at Hobart College and NYU School of Law. He built the firm on a founding standard the practice still operates by today: personal service, technical expertise, and doing the right things the right way for the right reason.

"The right things, the right way, for the right reason."
Gerald Pollack, founding principle
The modern firm Today

The practice Lynn has built.

Lynn Pollack joined the firm in 2002 and has been its President since 2008. The Pollack Services Group of today is, in nearly every meaningful sense, the practice she has built, grounded in her father's principles and shaped, year by year, around what modern individuals and businesses actually need from an insurance broker.

She brought a specific combination to the work: the analytical rigor and structured thinking of a management consultant, the strategic depth of a senior marketing and product executive, and an uncompromising personal standard for client service and technical competence. She has used all of it to grow the practice.

At the heart of how she works is a simple distinction: Lynn approaches every client as an advisor, not a salesperson. The work begins with understanding what the client actually needs, what they own, how they operate, where they are exposed, what they are worried about. The recommendation, when it comes, follows from the diagnosis. It is a different starting point than most of the industry's, and it is part of why most of the firm's clients arrive by referral.

Under her leadership the firm has expanded across private client, business risk, benefits, life, and disability lines. She has deepened relationships with the carriers built specifically to serve those clients, Chubb, AIG Private Client Group, PURE, Berkley One, Travelers, Hanover, and many more, and built the systems and the discipline to handle the complexity that comes with multiple homes, growing companies, professional practices, multi-state benefits programs, and the long-arc planning conversations that span decades.

What she has deliberately kept the same is the size of the practice and the depth of the attention. Lynn is the principal on every client engagement. When you call, you reach her, not a queue, not a portal, not an account manager who will be reassigned in a year. That continuity is the firm's signature, and it is the thing she is most committed to preserving as the practice grows.

What we believe

Three principles.
Inherited. Maintained.

The founding standard, still the standard.

I.

Personal service

Michael helps clients navigate increasingly complex business and personal risk environments, particularly where insurance, operations, technology, and long-term planning intersect. His work focuses on helping growing businesses, professional firms, and modern households think more strategically about continuity, liability, and evolving risk.

We are small on purpose. Every client works directly with a principal, not a queue, not a portal, not a different account manager every renewal. When you call, you reach someone who knows your file.

II.

Technical expertise

Insurance is a technical practice. Policies are contracts. We read them carefully, structure coverage deliberately, and make sure the program you have actually does what you think it does.

III.

The right way

We recommend what's right for the client, not what's easiest to place or most profitable to sell. If the right answer is no change, that's the answer. If the right answer is a carrier we don't represent, we say so.

The team

Small enough to know the client. Experienced enough to see the whole picture.

President

Lynn Pollack is President of Pollack Services Group. She joined the family practice in 2002 after a career that included Senior Manager at Accenture, Senior Vice President at Wunderman, Product Manager at Nabisco, and Senior Analyst at Prudential.

She brings the analytical rigor of strategic advisory to a practice still small enough to know every client by name, and the conviction, established by her father-in-law, that the firm exists to do right by the people it serves.

Referral ecosystem

Trusted by the people clients already trust.

Many PSG relationships begin through wealth managers, attorneys, accountants, and existing clients. That matters. A referral is not a lead source to us; it is a transfer of trust.

Responsive with clients
Careful with advisor relationships
Practical about cost, risk, and tradeoffs
Present at renewal and at claim time
Why independent

An independent broker
works for you, not the carrier.

It's a structural distinction, and it matters more than most people realize.

Independence

No carrier quotas.

A captive agent represents one carrier and is compensated to place business there. An independent broker represents many carriers and is free to recommend whichever one is actually right for the client.

Advocacy

Your advocate at claims time.

When something goes wrong, the carrier's adjuster works for the carrier. We work for you, pushing for prompt response, documenting the loss, and pressing for fair settlement.

Continuity

The same firm across decades.

Captive offices change agents. Big brokerages rotate account managers. We're still the same firm Gerald founded, with the same people answering the phone year after year.

Range

One relationship for the whole picture.

Personal insurance, commercial insurance, benefits, life, all under one roof, coordinated by people who already know your situation.

Let's start with
a conversation.

If what you've read here sounds like the kind of practice you'd want representing you, we should talk.
